Half-Life 2: Episode One Hints

Section 2: Major Antlion and Zombie Battles (ep1_c17_00a)

  • 1 of 13: Finish climbing the stairs and then move along until you come to a corridor leading to a large three-level parking garage.
  • 2 of 13: On the other side of the fence to your left are several zombines and antlions.
  • 3 of 13: Once the other side is clear except for an antlion or two, go around and enter the main parking garage area to find that it has three spawn-holes that antlions constantly swarm out of.
  • 4 of 13: After you plug the last antlion spawn-hole, search carefully for supplies.
  • 5 of 13: Past the big wheel-opened door, go through a small side doorway marked with an EXIT sign.
  • 6 of 13: Go down a stairwell until you reach another side doorway. (If you continue to the bottom, you'll only find a zombie torso and a supply crate.)
  • 7 of 13: When you reach the dimly lit waterlogged area with the two "fence rooms" in it, be ready for a combined zombie/zombine attack.
  • 8 of 13: After it's over, go through the second fence room and find the open doorway in the back of it.
  • 9 of 13: Go through the small blue door to find yourself in another area full of fences, this one very large and totally dark.
  • 10 of 13: Check the small fence room to the right for some supplies first, then go left and all the way to the end to find an elevator.
  • 11 of 13: Unfortunately, when Alyx tries to summon it, it gets stuck.
  • 12 of 13: A really big zombie attack that includes fast zombies will happen during the long wait for the elevator to arrive. Below is the best strategy I could come up with for this situation.
  • 13 of 13: The elevator doors will close as soon as you and Alyx are both inside, and it will ascend to Chapter 4: Urban Flight.
