Half-Life 2: Episode One Hints

Now how can I get up to where I'm going?

  • 1 of 7: Not directly past the rocket, that's for sure.
  • 2 of 7: Shine your flashlight up on it so Alyx can finish off the headcrabs, then look around for an alternative route.
  • 3 of 7: There's a door with a single board over it nearby, so yank the board off and open the door.
  • 4 of 7: Have your shotgun or whatever ready to help Alyx take down a couple of zombines in the next room.
  • 5 of 7: When you enter the large room with the dead body on a sofa at the other end, watch out for the weak boards in the middle of the floor.
  • 6 of 7: When you approach the boarded-over doorway past the weak floor, be ready to quickly take down a zombine that's just on the other side.
  • 7 of 7: Move on past that to eventually reach a door where you'll be greeted by good old Barney Calhoun!
