Half-Life 2: Episode One Hints

How can I get to another street? This area seems hopelessly rubble-blocked!

  • 1 of 10: There's an alley that can get you to a nearby street, but you'll have to find it first.
  • 2 of 10: Not quite everything around here is hopelessly blocked.
  • 3 of 10: Search around in the corners.
  • 4 of 10: If you turn left after you reach the top of the stairs leading outdoors, you'll soon reach a corner with some steps leading to a flimsy barricade.
  • 5 of 10: Use the gravity gun to yank off the sheets of metal and reveal a wide doorway.
  • 6 of 10: Right after you move through the doorway, three scanners will come over the right wall and start flash-blinding you.
  • 7 of 10: Around the next corner, you'll need to yank a couple more sheets of metal off a doorway to get through.
  • 8 of 10: When you go through it, a dropship will fly over a ways ahead and drop off several Combine soldiers.
  • 9 of 10: Move to the end of the alley, where some large blue Combine wall segments block the way to the street.
  • 10 of 10: Just stand and wait for them to slowly rise up and then crash down again, making you a path. (Nice of them, huh?)
