How can I get past this hazard?
1 of 4: The barnacles will all probably be pulling up loose boards at first.
2 of 4: That means you can carefully walk across on the remaining boards (or jump over a gap) before the barnacles can re-lower their tongues.
3 of 4: If there are too many tongues in the way, toss them the boards you removed from the doorway (or something else) to get them temporarily out of your way.
4 of 4: NOTE: There is an explosive red canister nearby if you want to use it to blow up the barnacles, but that's not at all necessary.
