The Orange Box: Half-Life 2: Episode Two Hints

Bone Breaker (HLX_KILL_ENEMIES_WITHPHYSICS)

  • 1 of 8: To complete this achievement, you'll need to kill 30 enemies with items thrown from the gravity gun.
  • 2 of 8: NOTE: Killing enemies with explosives thrown with the gravity gun (like red canisters) will *not* count toward this achievement. You'll need to use non-explosive items, such as regular barrels, large tires, radiator grilles, big rocks, etc.
  • 3 of 8: Zombies are the best targets, since they're fairly slow-moving and have no ranged attacks.
  • 4 of 8: Your first opportunity to kill zombies with gravity gun projectiles happens in the first mine tunnel in Chapter 1's Section 1: Mine Tunnels and a Hunter. Just remember to use rocks, barrels, crates, and so forth instead of explosives. (And do it quick before Alyx can shoot them to death.)
  • 5 of 8: You can kill a poison headcrab with a grav-thrown rock soon after that.
  • 6 of 8: In Chapter 1's Section 2: Antlion Caverns, there are plenty of loose rocks lying around that you can use to kill antlions.
  • 7 of 8: Look for more opportunities to throw solid objects at enemies as you play through the game.
  • 8 of 8: The unlimited stream of zombies in the area near the autogun in Chapter 5's Section 1: The Autogun can be used to get this achievement easily. Use the tire that's near the flaming white van to flatten zombie after zombie until your total reaches 30. (If you lose the tire, go on ahead to where you can get ahold of several barrels, then go back and use them to kill zombies.)
