The Orange Box: Half-Life 2: Episode Two Hints

Deadly Harvest (HLX_KILL_ENEMY_WITHHOPPERMINE)

  • 1 of 5: To get this achievement, kill any enemy with a hopper mine.
  • 2 of 5: The mine has to be set by you and then triggered by enemy proximity -- throwing a hopper with the gravity gun won't count.
  • 3 of 5: The only opportunities you'll have for this are in Chapter 2's Section 1: Antlion Attack and Section 2: Escort the Vort.
  • 4 of 5: It's easiest to do it in Section 1 by setting a couple of hopper mines in tunnel 12.
  • 5 of 5: When antlions first spawn in that tunnel, the two resistance guys will be busy with another tunnel, so their gunfire won't be killing antlions in tunnel 12 before your hoppers can. (For a similar reason, you won't want any turrets facing tunnel 12 until after you get credit for this achievement.)
