How can I open this gate?

  • 1 of 9: Examine it carefully to find that its red opening wheel is on the other side, where you can't reach it.
  • 2 of 9: You'll obviously have to open the gate from the other side, so look around for a way to get there.
  • 3 of 9: There's a large lift in the same room as the gate. Maybe it can start you on your way.
  • 4 of 9: When you reach the bottom of the lift shaft, be ready for some nearby zombies to attack.
  • 5 of 9: Raid the supply crate in the room where you found the last zombine, then use the control panel in the corner to raise the nearby lift.
  • 6 of 9: You can now get a health kit from the area under the lift, but you'll need to figure out how to ride that lift up in order to leave this area.
  • 7 of 9: At the top of this lift, you'll find yourself in the room on the other side of the gate.
  • 8 of 9: Dodge around a bit as your vort pal zaps a couple of new zombies, then go over to the gate's red control wheel.
  • 9 of 9: Lean on the "Use item" key while facing the wheel until the gate is fully opened.
