Half-Life 2 Hints
Hideaway Strategy
1 of 6: This is similar to the Standard Strategy, but you don't go running around and exposing yourself to harm.
2 of 6: Instead, hole up in a small room somewhere as soon as the first dropship approaches.
3 of 6: Stay there the whole time, ready to shoot any soldiers who come in after you.
4 of 6: One of the safest places to be is in the garage with the jeep.
5 of 6: Close the side door after you enter, then get in the jeep and cover the door with the tau cannon. (You probably won't have to shoot any soldiers, but be ready just in case.)
6 of 6: Wait until all the soldiers are killed (mainly or entirely by the resistance guys), then go outside and run for the lighthouse while trying to dodge gunship fire.
