Hopper and Soldier Combat Tips
1 of 6: From the doorway that leads out of the storage area, look to the left to find a hopper mine to pick up.
2 of 6: Climb up the stairs over to the right, then immediately turn left and pitch the hopper at the open doorway you see across from you if there's a Combine soldier in it. (If there isn't, wait for one to appear.) If the hopper doesn't kill him, quickly shoot him down.
3 of 6: Pull in and either throw or reset both nearby hoppers, then go over to the base of the steps that lead up to the doorway.
4 of 6: Another soldier will appear on the roof above and to the right of the doorway when you reach the steps.
5 of 6: Instead of going up the steps, back up and try to quickly shoot down (or hopper-bomb) the new soldier while he's up there. If you can't, watch for him to appear in the doorway.
6 of 6: NOTE: That last soldier often uses grenades, so be ready to throw away any grenades with the gravity gun so they don't blow up your squad.
