Section 6: Running Around Through Buildings (d3_c17_06b)

  • 1 of 17: When you get outside, ready your crowbar and check the van for supplies while waiting for a parasite rocket to crash nearby.
  • 2 of 17: When it does, run up to it and swing the crowbar at its backside constantly until you've killed all six fast headcrabs as they try to emerge.
  • 3 of 17: Go down a nearby alley and bust a supply crate while listening to the guy on the other side of the barred fence.
  • 4 of 17: Stay under cover while a nearby door is opened (with the password of "password") and a soldier is shot off the building's rooftop. (Send your squad to a spot where they can help with this.)
  • 5 of 17: At this point, you can take a shortcut and go over the nearby fence instead of going through the "password" door.
  • 6 of 17: Once you're past the fence one way or another, you'll have some hoppers and soldiers to deal with before you enter the next building.
  • 7 of 17: Move toward the doorway that leads into the next building, but send your team in first (there are headcrabs ahead).
  • 8 of 17: When the headcrabs are cleared out, move into the severely wrecked room and turn right.
  • 9 of 17: Move up and across the rubble until you reach a large doorway with a lambda-marked supply stash just to the left of it. (There'll also be some replacement squad members there if your headcount is short.)
  • 10 of 17: Approach the large doorway cautiously, as there are several more grenade-happy soldiers out there waiting for you to stick your head out.
  • 11 of 17: When you use the lever next to the raised bridge to lower it, be ready for lots more soldier combats in the building beyond.
  • 12 of 17: When the area past the floor hole is clear of soldiers, find the stairs and go up them, but watch out for two barnacles and a fast zombie just ahead.
  • 13 of 17: You might want to return to your stockpile area before dropping through a floor hole in the fast zombie's room. (You might also want to toss a few items through a wall hole that leads to that room, since this is another point of no return.)
  • 14 of 17: After you drop down, get ready for another flaming fast zombie to attack as you round the corner, then hang back while several zombies and soldiers fight it out in the room down the hall.
  • 15 of 17: When it's quiet down there, move forward and watch for survivors to pick off. There probably won't be more than one.
  • 16 of 17: After you drop down another floor hole, look for the doorway with the lambda symbol behind it. You can go that way for a few extra supplies.
  • 17 of 17: Take the doorway to the left of the lambda doorway and go up some stairs to move on to Section 7: Alyx and the Generator.
