How can I kill this huge mutant antlion?
1 of 9: That's an antlion guard. Those things are majorly tough stuff!
2 of 9: You need to keep away from him so that he can't use his head butt attack on you.
3 of 9: Move past the starting part of his area to the larger, more circular section.
4 of 9: This has two advantages: you have more room to maneuver around, and a nearby mounted gun will be used against the antlion guard and his cronies by a resistance member.
5 of 9: One way you can damage the antlion guard is to use the gravity gun to hit him with explosive barrels. (But watch out for him knocking things, including explosive barrels, at you. It might be a better idea to detonate the barrels from a distance instead of trying to use them.)
6 of 9: Once you reach the circular area, you can try running circles around the center rock to avoid the antlion guard's charges.
7 of 9: If you can keep that and shooting the smaller antlions up long enough, the resistance guy will finish off the antlion guard for you.
8 of 9: TIP: Remember that crossbow bolts, RPG rockets, and SMG grenades all do 100 points of damage each, and the antlion guard has 500 hit points (on Normal difficulty). That means if you took him down without any help at all from the resistance gunner, it would only take five shots using those weapons. That shouldn't be too hard to pull off, especially if you get the gunner to help.
