Half-Life 2 Hints
What's the regular way?
1 of 15: From the gate, turn around and head slowly back the way you came.
2 of 15: Look to the left for a narrow cement walkway.
3 of 15: Park your airboat near that walkway and get out onto it.
4 of 15: Climb a ladder and go through a door, then pause to listen to Breen's amusing bit of propaganda against you.
5 of 15: Go on into the garage area and search around for ammo and cops to use it on.
6 of 15: The two little side rooms you come to right away have lots of stuff in them, plus there's an unlimited ammo crate for frag grenades next to the doorway to the second side room. Be sure to fill up on those!
7 of 15: When you round the corner past that crate, immediately shoot the explosive barrel you see ahead in order to kill both cops who are hiding nearby.
8 of 15: Then rush to the windows and shoot them out quickly so that you can toss grenades into the room with the manhacks in it. If you're fast enough, you can destroy them all before any come after you.
9 of 15: NOTE: You can destroy the beeping ceiling camera thingy near the windows by shooting it, but that doesn't help you in any way.
10 of 15: Resupply on grenades from the second infinite grenade crate in the manhack room, then head outside through the door.
11 of 15: A cop will be at the other end of the outdoor area with a mounted machine gun.
12 of 15: Past the mounted gun area is another large room with several cops in it. There's another infinite grenade crate in there, so why not grenade the cops and then restock?
13 of 15: TIP: There's also a rare SMG grenade in this room. Climb the rungs on the two big blue machines off to the right to find the grenade setting on top of one of them.
14 of 15: Go up the stairs on the other side of the room to find a door that leads out to where the gate-opening controls are.
