Easier Strategy
1 of 6: First, use the Headcrab Combat Tips to help thin the headcrab herd a bit (though you don't necessarily need to kill all of them).
2 of 6: Then explore the catwalks until you find a small shed with supply crates and a shotgun in it.
3 of 6: After getting the goods, jump through the shed's back window and move carefully along the rocky wall.
4 of 6: Go to where you can see the catwalk you're trying to get to directly ahead of you.
5 of 6: Kill any headcrabs you see that might be able to intercept you, then drop to the cavern floor and run straight for that catwalk!
6 of 6: Run up its stairs quickly -- some newly spawned fast headcrabs will be coming after you in mere seconds.
