How can I leave this crabby cavern?

  • 1 of 8: You need to get to a small tunnel past a fence that's at ground level off in one corner.
  • 2 of 8: Walk around on the available walkways until you spot it, then start thinking about how to get over there.
  • 3 of 8: There's a nice bit of catwalk over next to the fence that you could use to approach it and hop over it, but there's a big gap between that catwalk segment and the ones you have easy access to.
  • 4 of 8: There are two basic strategies for getting there, one of which requires no headcrab combat whatsoever (but is a bit of a pain to pull off). The other is easier, but takes more time and uses more ammo.
  • 5 of 8: However you get onto the catwalk near the fence, jump from it onto the wooden beams that run above the fence and the tunnel beyond.
  • 6 of 8: Then quickly crouch-walk along the beams until you're out of range of the fast headcrabs that came after you when you got on the catwalk.
  • 7 of 8: There are a few headcrabs on the tunnel floor, but they can't reach you, so you can take your time in disposing of them.
  • 8 of 8: After they're all dead, drop to the tunnel floor to find yourself past the fence and near another mine shaft.
