Half-Life: Blue Shift Hints
I've been told to check the main access lift in Sector G. How do I get there?
1 of 11: Have you gotten your uniform and sidearm yet?
2 of 11: If so, go on through the guarded door to the H-E Particle Labs.
3 of 11: After winding around a little, you'll come to a tram station where a scientist warns you not to waste your time waiting for the tram to Sector G.
4 of 11: To get there on foot, you'll have to find the maintenance ladder that's at one corner of the tram-loading platform and climb down it.
5 of 11: Making your way along, you'll come to a room with a power station behind a fence and a door with a barrel in front of it.
6 of 11: Push or pull the barrel out of your way, then go through the door to a dark area with a lot of boxes and barrels stacked around. It might help to turn your flashlight on in here (F key).
7 of 11: An alternative way is to enter the little power station area and flip the switch on the metal box, then use the panel on the wall just past the door to turn the dark area's lights on.
8 of 11: You'll soon make it to a room with another ladder, this one going up. Climb up it and continue on.
9 of 11: You'll quickly come to an area crossed by a tram track, where you'll have to wait for a tram carrying the weirdo Administrator (a.k.a. Briefcase Bastard) to pass.
10 of 11: When it does, and the light over the button in front of the raise-able walkway turns green, hit the button to lower the walkway and carry on.
11 of 11: You'll soon arrive at the Sector G tram station. The main access lift is just a short distance past it.
