Ico Hints

How do we get through the doors at the bottom of the waterfall?

  • 1 of 11: First, if you haven't found a way down there, Ico and Yorda both need to find a way down to the base of the waterfall.
  • 2 of 11: The problem you have here is that Yorda can't swim.
  • 3 of 11: Maybe there's a way of stopping the waterfall.
  • 4 of 11: Look around in the grassy area that you passed through on your way to getting Yorda through that first gate.
  • 5 of 11: Now climb the ladder in the grassy area, and go up another ladder once you're on the platform.  A pressure plate door should take you to the next location.
  • 6 of 11: Head into the next building just past the pressure plate door. 
  • 7 of 11: You want get on the other side of the closed door at the bottom of the stairs in that building.
  • 8 of 11: Once you've gotten past that door, you should be able to see the source of the waterfall.
  • 9 of 11: The fall is coming from the stream running down a canal here.
  • 10 of 11: Look on the other side of the canal for a way to turn off the fall.
  • 11 of 11: Now, when you return to the waterfall area, the water will be all gone, and Yorda can walk closer to the doors.
