Ico Hints

Now I'm inside a round stone tower. Where's the exit?

  • 1 of 18: First, climb down the chain as you're coming from the pipes.
  • 2 of 18: The chain just hangs there, but look ahead.
  • 3 of 18: You can swing and jump onto the ledge ahead of you.
  • 4 of 18: From here, most of what you have to do is just figuring out which paths are dead ends (as many of them are) and which ones take you somewhere.  Trial and error and/or liberal use of the right analog stick to look around are the only ways to do this.
  • 5 of 18: Turn right rather than left when you're on the ledge, and follow the path to the outer edge of the tower.
  • 6 of 18: A left turn will take you in the correct direction from here.
  • 7 of 18: Notice the metal device hanging above you when you reach the end of that ledge.
  • 8 of 18: Climb onto it and look around.
  • 9 of 18: There's some sort of chain attached to a moveable box.  Maybe the chain could help you proceed.
  • 10 of 18: So push the box to the outer edge of the tower, jump onto the chain, and climb down as far as you can go.  You can now jump onto a lower ledge on the outer wall.
  • 11 of 18: The ladder just below you is a red herring.  Keep moving.
  • 12 of 18: Turn to the left and continue around until you see another ladder.
  • 13 of 18: This ladder is broken, but it will still get you down far enough that you should be able to jump down to the ledge below safely.
  • 14 of 18: There's another piece of stone across the way towards the center of the tower.
  • 15 of 18: It's far, but a running jump should get you there.
  • 16 of 18: If you can't run while you're right under the ladder, step back a bit to either side of the ladder, where the ledge is wider.
  • 17 of 18: A running jump from there will be good enough if your aim is good.
  • 18 of 18: One final ladder climb down will take you to a set of idol doors.
