Help the workers with the food shortage.
1 of 12: Talk to Vashti Zerran in the NE room on level 1 about the recent food theft to get this quest.
2 of 12: Agree to speak to the cook about this matter, then head up to level 4.
3 of 12: Talk to Miram in the NW room to find that she's as stubborn and unhelpful as Vashti said she'd be.
4 of 12: Talk to Vashti again and volunteer to wait and see who's stealing the food.
5 of 12: You'll see a shimmering semi-invisible creature steal it in a non-interactive sequence.
6 of 12: Follow it into the room that's south of the food barrels and talk to it.
7 of 12: If you've already done the "Investigate the suspicious suicide of Zaem Astyr" optional quest, you can deduce that this creature is Astyr's creation, and tell it of its creator's fate.
8 of 12: In any case, you need to convince it to stop stealing the slaves' food.
9 of 12: Killing it would work, but there's a much better way.
10 of 12: Agree to help it get a new food source, then go get the Ring of Nourishment from the container in the NW lab room on level 2 (the room with Kav Lathram in it).
11 of 12: Give the Ring of Nourishment to the creature to solve its problem and get bonus XP.
12 of 12: Then report back to Vashti to finish the quest.
