Jade Empire Hints
Jinlin
1 of 13: To get the little girl named Jinlin to appear, go explore the Necropolis for awhile, then return to the Market District. (She might appear before you enter the Necropolis, but it's unlikely.)
2 of 13: You'll find her talking to Purveyor Shouji in the SE section of the area.
3 of 13: After he leaves, talk to Jinlin to learn that the perverted purveyor wants her to retrieve an artifact from a ghost-infested tomb in the Necropolis.
4 of 13: Agree to help Jinlin by taking care of the ghosts for her, then return to the Necropolis and make your way to the Tomb of the Dignified Collector.
5 of 13: Approach Jinlin to get her to open the tomb's front doors, then go inside and find some mummies to thrash.
6 of 13: NOTE: Even though Jinlin calls them spirits, they're not, so you can use your weapon styles against them.
7 of 13: After the first batch of mummies is down, move further into the tomb to find some more.
8 of 13: Loot the two containers near the Inner Sanctum doors after killing those mummies to find treasure, including a special Spirit Harvest gem that gives you more XP for killing ghosts.
9 of 13: Equip that gem, since the Inner Sanctum area has a big fight with several tough ghosts in it, including an insane emperor ghost.
10 of 13: If you have way too much trouble with this battle, wait until after you get the Jade Golem style on the "Infiltrate the Lotus Assassin Fortress" main quest, then come back. If you've put some style points into Jade Golem, you'll be able to use it to very quickly beat the insane emperor ghost, and the rest should be downhill from there.
11 of 13: After you finish them off, you'll be given a chance to use the nearby focus shrine and loot the nearby urn before you have to start fighting your way out of the tomb.
12 of 13: There are several small battles on the way out involving ghosts and mummies, but they're not too hard, especially if you use focus mode and recharge at the focus shrine after each battle.
13 of 13: As you exit the tomb, Jinlin will show you the bowl she was sent to retrieve, which will get you the Configuration of the Tiger. (It's useful with the "Lord Lao's Furnace" subquest.)
