Matchmaker

  • 1 of 7: You can get this quest from Ai Ling if you complete the "The Beaten Baker" subquest by reasoning with Ai Ling instead of killing her.
  • 2 of 7: When you ask her whom she'd consider, she mentions Chumin and Yaoru.
  • 3 of 7: Chumin in standing next to a house that's directly south of the teahouse, and Yaoru can be found on the teahouse's upper level.
  • 4 of 7: Big Tian, who's standing on the lower ground just east of the boathouse's NE corner, can also be a possibility.
  • 5 of 7: Be sure to save your game before you talk to any of those three guys. (Also finish looting the boathouse if you haven't already.)
  • 6 of 7: You'll succeed or fail depending on which conversation options you choose. If you pick one that fails and don't get another chance, restore your game and try again. (Or try another guy.)
  • 7 of 7: You'll get 500 silver no matter which guy you fix Ai Ling up with, but you'll get 40 more XP if you convince Big Tian than if you did Chumin or Yaoru.
