What purpose do the controls serve?
1 of 13: Have you investigated the entire area yet?
2 of 13: Have you tried pushing the button and then exploring the area?
3 of 13: There is definitely a correlation of some sort between the controls and the pits. But what is it?
4 of 13: There are six symbols on each dial, but there are only three pits.
5 of 13: Perhaps there are more pits, but they are simply not accessible?
6 of 13: Whatever the case, you aren't going to be able to find them, and you won't be able to do anything with the controls until you find out which pits which symbols represent.
7 of 13: Is there anything that may be in the way?
8 of 13: The dust and sediment prevents the symbols by each pit from being seen.
9 of 13: You can cast the wind spell to find out which symbols go with which pits.
10 of 13: Once you know which symbol corresponds with which pit, what the controls do should be obvious.
11 of 13: The left dial determines the source pit, and the right dial determines the destination pit.
12 of 13: Anything in the source pit will be transported to the destination pit when the button is pressed. For example, if the left dial is on the top symbol, and the right dial on the bottom symbol, anything in the pit corresponding to the top symbol will be moved from that pit to the one corresponding to the bottom symbol.
