LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Hints
How can I open the second Stormtrooper door I come across?
of 10: The basic idea's the same as the first one -- you need to be wearing a Stormtrooper helmet.
of 10: But you may remember -- or have noticed -- that getting shot takes away your helmet, and the nearest dispenser is just next to the bridge that Obi-Wan extended for you. There will be several sets of guards in between you and that door, which may make things tough.
of 10: If you're lucky, you may be able to outrun them.
of 10: Or you can stop them from reaching you.
of 10: Back before the bridge that Obi-Wan extended were several elevators with guards coming out of them. Notice the cameras on top of those elevators.
of 10: If you shoot the cameras several times -- I found that it helped to jump and shoot while in the air -- the elevators will stop sending guards. (You'd think a shot-out camera would make them suspicious, but, hey, no one ever said Stormtroopers were geniuses.)
of 10: You will also see several grappling hooks along the way -- one immediately across from the helmet dispenser, and one just in front of the door.
of 10: Shooting the hooks there will stop the troopers from grappling their way up to you.
of 10: The one closer to the door should be easier to hit, but I found the first one (closer to the helmet dispenser) a little harder. I found the best way to get that first hook was to carefully jump over the railing near the hook (but not so far that I fell into the abyss). Then shoot the hook while you're standing just on top of it.
of 10: Of course, all of this is optional -- as long as you can get one character with a helmet safely to the door, you can open it, even if more Stormtroopers are coming after you.
