LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Hints

Can you give me some tips for the Character Bonus (Endor)?

  • 1 of 6: First, you may want to read the general hints for character bonus levels, if you haven't already played one of these.  The rest of the hints that follow here will give you one way that I was able to play through this bonus level fairly consistently.
  • 2 of 6: Many of the platforms on this level are separated by bridges.  Some of the bridges will automatically raise themselves as you approach, but the bridge that's to your left when you start the level may require that you build the gears.
  • 3 of 6: My favorite character for this level was Boba Fett, both for his thermal detonators and his ability to float across any bridges that aren't raised yet.  However, the enemies are a little trickier than on the other two character bonuses, with Gamorrean guards and red Imperial guards.  Both of these enemies have at least some ability to block blaster fire and/or require multiple shots to destroy.
  • 4 of 6: I had a little more luck against the Imperial guards by doing a double-jump attack as a Jedi, than I did with blasters.  You could also try throwing a thermal detonator into a crowd, but my experience was that the Imperial guards get close enough to you quickly enough that this can be dangerous to you as well.  You may want to try a mix of these tactics until you find the one that matches your style.
  • 5 of 6: In any case, my preferred pattern was to head over to the left side of the screen, where you'll find two adjacent platforms, each with a shiny metal object.  You can generally cycle back between these two screens fairly regularly.  With the time you spend in fights and just shooting out the surroundings for studs, when you're ready to go back to the other platform, its shiny metal detonator will have regenerated.
  • 6 of 6: Depending on how you prefer fighting, you may also lose a little time switching between your fighting character (e.g., a Jedi) and your bounty hunter (for the detonators).  You may decide that it's just worth trying to outrun your opponents, rather than keep having to change between fighting and bounty hunter characters.  In that case, you might need to cycle over a few more platforms to keep some distance from the tougher fights.
