Mysterious Journey II Hints
What do I do with the odd machine?
of 15: The machine in question has a screen showing a line snaking back-and-forth in a panel near the top, with red lights along its path; and underneath that, a round indentation between two rectangular buttons in the middle; and a small screen underneath.
of 15: When you approach the machine, one of the balls in inventory will be selected to be used in the round indentation on the machine. If you wish to change the balls, click on the ball in the machine to cycle through the other choices.
of 15: Have you tried pressing either of the two rectangular buttons (one on each side of the ball)? Pay particular attention to the small screen underneath the ball.
of 15: Have you seen any of these patterns before? Where?
of 15: There are three locked doors nearby that are marked with similar patterns.
of 15: If you search through the various patterns on the machine, you'll be able to locate the patterns that you saw on the doors.
of 15: If the pattern on the door is more on the left side, then use the red ball to locate the pattern. If the pattern is more on the right side, use the green ball. Solve those two patterns first, before trying the pattern on both sides.
of 15: Once you've found an exact match, look at the odd machine for further clues.
of 15: The pattern of red dots at the top of the machine provides the key to opening the locked doors.
of 15: How many red lights are there? How many rows of lights, and how many in each row?
of 15: The brightly lit red dots indicate which buttons will need to be pushed on the door....
of 15: ...but they won't work unless pushed in a specific order.
of 15: A clue to the correct order is also indicated on the top screen of the odd machine.
of 15: Follow the path made by the red line on the screen, starting at the top and winding your way (back and forth) to the bottom. Use that order to correctly enter the combination into the locked doors.
