Mysterious Journey II Hints
I've found some kind of control panel, but don't know how to use it.
of 14: You'll need to bring an object to the control panel before you can activate it.
of 14: The object you need must be obtained from behind the third door (with the strange symbols on it).
of 14: To use the prion generator, find the "USE" icon on the right side of the control panel.
of 14: Next, look for another "USE" icon on the higher buttons of the control panel. Clicking on this "USE" will bring you into a view where you can work the control panel.
of 14: Click on each of the buttons over the window. Begin with the 16 small, round buttons -- eight on the left side, and eight on the right.
of 14: Each of the 16 small buttons controls an "elevator" (of sorts) that moves up and down the middle (fifth) tower.
of 14: Can you decipher the purpose of the two buttons in the middle (the large round one, and the thin bar)?
of 14: The large round button sends out some number of blue "laser" lights to the adjacent towers.
of 14: If the large round button is pressed again (at the same level), the "laser" lights are turned off. The large round button apparently works as an "on/off" switch at each level.
of 14: Once the large button has been pressed, what happens to the blue "laser" lights if the elevator is moved to another level?
of 14: It seems that the blue lights will stay on, once they've been activated -- even if the elevator moves to another level.
of 14: How can they be turned off?
of 14: Certainly by returning to each level that has lights on, and pressing the large round button.
of 14: But also, all of the lights can be turned off (i.e., the puzzle can be reset) by pressing the long, thin bar at any time.
