Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer Hints
Murmurwoods
1 of 6: When you get here, you'll be just south of the village, out of range of any hostiles. So go explore the village, taking advantage of stat barrels and teachers in the houses and so on, just like usual. Be sure to talk to Stephen to turn in the Prophecies of the Sun and get your Cleric promoted. Then go make him a Body Magic GM. Love it!
2 of 6: Now for your main goal here. Talk to Dantilion to get the Stone to Flesh scrolls, then go locate Cauri Blackthorne and destone her.
3 of 6: She's the statue that's a little ways west and north of the Druid Circle. Talk to her about everything, then press ESC to let her go. She'll be available for hire in the Adventurer's Inn the next time you visit Ravenshore or Dagger Wound Island.
4 of 6: Before you go running after her, however, you may want to do some more stuff around here. Don't forget to cast Protection from Magic. I do hope you have it. If not, make sure you fly up out of reach of all the Basilisks around here. They're what turned poor Cauri into stone.
5 of 6: So where does the aggressive player go from here? You could head to Shadowspire (via Ravenshore, to get Cauri into the group) and rescue Blazen Stormlance, get the shield Eclipse from the Necromancer's Guild (it's a quest item for a guy in Ravenshore), etc.
6 of 6: Also, you'll want to go to the Ironsand Desert eventually to fulfill the main line quest of getting someone who witnessed the creation of the Lake of Fire. As with all Might and Magic games, there's just so much fun stuff to do all at once! Enjoy!
