Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer Hints

Form an alliance between the factions of Jadame.

  • 1 of 8: This is the Big One and is given to you by Bastian Loudrin after you take Overdune Snapfinger to talk to him in Alvar.
  • 2 of 8: It's very similar to the six-part High Council quest in MM6, though it's really only three-part.
  • 3 of 8: Since the Merchants of Alvar and the Trolls are already members, there are only five nonaligned factions left in Jadame.
  • 4 of 8: One of them is the Minotaurs. You have to have them in the alliance, so travel to the Balthazar Lair in Ravage Roaming someday and talk to them about that.
  • 5 of 8: Two of the other factions are the Dragons and the Dragon Hunters, both of whom are based in Garrote Gorge. You can't possibly get both to join since they're mortal enemies, but you have to get one to join to complete this quest.
  • 6 of 8: The Necromancers in Shadowspire and the Priests of the Sun in Murmurwoods are the same way: mutually exclusive. Choose one and fulfill their quest to get them to join.
  • 7 of 8: It doesn't really matter what choices you make with the opposing factions. There are no "good" or "evil" choices like choosing the new arbiter in MM7. There are a few consequences, though, like Garrote Gorge's shops being closed to you if you ally with the Dragons, but it's really no big deal.
  • 8 of 8: Once you get three factions to join the alliance, report success to Elgar Fellmoon in the Merchant House of Alvar in Ravenshore, which is the new alliance headquarters. You're through with Bastian Loudrin.
