Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer Hints
Notes and Extras
of 10: You have to drink at least once from the town fountain if you're ever to Town Portal back here. Also, it'll give you 200 gold if you have less than 99 in your inventory and the bank combined (and it'll do it twice).
of 10: There's a well a ways east of the big crystal that temporarily adds 25 to your Might. That might be a good well to drink from before heading out to combat.
of 10: The well in the NW section of town is poisoned; don't ever drink from it.
of 10: There are lots of little lumps of ore lying around the outdoor area. Pick them all up and take them to Alvar or Shadowspire sometime to get people there to convert them into armor, weapons, and items for you.
of 10: A guy named Reaver in the house directly east of the big crystal will buy Naga Hides from you. You can get lots of those in Garrote Gorge plus a few more from The Crypt of Korbu in Ravage Roaming.
of 10: When selling items that only magic shops buy, sell them at Needful Things rather than Caori's Curios. They pay a little bit more there.
of 10: Also note that Kessel's Kantina near the big crystal is a much cheaper tavern than The Dancing Ogre, so if you need to rest or buy food, go there.
of 10: There are several trashpiles in the dirty NW section of town that you can raid for basic items. Note that some characters become diseased when digging through trash, so save your game before trying.
of 10: There are three special capitalized plants in the Ravenshore area, one of which is really great. See the Secret Capitalized Plants list for details.
of 10: There's a hard-to-find treasure chest up on a high-up grassy ledge a little ways south of Lord Brinne's Tomb. You'll have to be flying in order to get to it. (Unfortunately, it doesn't have anything special in it.)
