Can I open any of the locked doors in the village?
  • 1 of 8: Just like the locked doors inside the cities, there's no way to ever open doors that don't have a glowing green or red border around them (courtesy of the Perception skill).
  • 2 of 8: So there's one unlocked door you can open, and one locked door that you can't.
  • 3 of 8: To open the locked door, you need a certain key.
  • 4 of 8: You have to get the key from Johannes Bem in Thjorgard City while on the Scholar-to-Mage promotion quest. Read on once you have the key.
  • 5 of 8: You can now open the locked door and enter the house.
  • 6 of 8: To find the book, examine the floor of the house until you find a crack.
  • 7 of 8: It's just to the left of the stove.
  • 8 of 8: Whack the crack until it breaks, then pick up the golden book. (You'll also get the only Eye of the Storm spell learning book that exists in the game.)
