Scholar to Mage
  • 1 of 9: Johannes Bem in Thjorgard City (in a big building near the NE end) gives you this quest if you've finished the scholar promotion quest.
  • 2 of 9: Mr. Bem gave you two leads on finding the diary.
  • 3 of 9: Start by going to the Verhoffin Ruins on the Isle of Ashes.
  • 4 of 9: Take the silver book you find to Bem and give it to him.
  • 5 of 9: Ask him how the book worked out for him.
  • 6 of 9: He'll say it was the wrong book, but it told where to find the right one.
  • 7 of 9: He'll give you a key and tell you to go to Drangheim.
  • 8 of 9: Visit the village that's east of Drangheim City and pillage the locked house.
  • 9 of 9: Take the gold book to Bem and ask how it worked out for him, and you'll get promoted.
