How can I get the Idol?

  • 1 of 13: You already have to be in the Governor's Mansion.
  • 2 of 13: And you should have run the yak, rhinoceros, wax-lips automated gauntlet by passing through the double doors to the right of the front door.
  • 3 of 13: Now, what did Guybrush say he needed to remove the Idol of Many Hands from its case?
  • 4 of 13: He needs a file.
  • 5 of 13: Who might have file?
  • 6 of 13: To saw through bars with?
  • 7 of 13: The prisoner in the jail might have one.  Why don't you talk to him and ask him if he has a file?
  • 8 of 13: He says no.  All he has is a carrot cake his Aunt Tillie made him.
  • 9 of 13: In bad movies, where is the file always hidden when it is smuggled to the prisoner?
  • 10 of 13: The relatives always hide it in a loaf of bread, or a pastry, or...
  • 11 of 13: In a carrot cake.
  • 12 of 13: Once Otis has given you the carrot cake, open it to find a file inside.
  • 13 of 13: Go back to the mansion, and climb through the hole behind the painting to get the Idol.
