Escape from Monkey Island Hints

How do I get the engine room running?

  • 1 of 10: First, you'll have to find a way in.
  • 2 of 10: The engine room is on the other side of the big door in the mine (down in the canyon).
  • 3 of 10: You have to figure out some way to open the door.
  • 4 of 10: Once you're inside the engine room, have a look around.
  • 5 of 10: You'll find a weed whipper in the middle of the room, but Guybrush won't be able to reach it.
  • 6 of 10: Take it using the banana picker that you've used several times by now.
  • 7 of 10: Now you've got a weed whipper.  What do you think you should do with it?
  • 8 of 10: You need to go find some weeds to whip.
  • 9 of 10: Before you can do this, you must be able to get to the other side of the island.
  • 10 of 10: You'll find those weeds on the far side of the lava pool.  Whip them, and lava will seep into the engine room.
