Escape from Monkey Island Hints

How do I get the other two people to join my crew?

  • 1 of 12: First, you need to find out who they are.
  • 2 of 12: Keep pressing the fact that they look familiar until Guybrush realizes they're Carla and Otis, a couple of old crewmates from MI 1.
  • 3 of 12: Now, ask them to join you.  They'll want some incentive.
  • 4 of 12: Offer them cushy government jobs.
  • 5 of 12: Now you need to find some sort of contract for a cushy government job.
  • 6 of 12: You can get one from the governor's mansion.  If you can't get in, then you need to do something about the catapult operator in front of the mansion first.
  • 7 of 12: There are two contracts there.  Make sure you pick up the "Cushy Edition".
  • 8 of 12: You can find it over by the china.  (You'll need to read it once to figure out exactly what it is.)
  • 9 of 12: If you offer it to Carla and Otis like it is, though, they'll complain that it doesn't have an official signature.
  • 10 of 12: Remember that you're married to the governor.
  • 11 of 12: Take it back to Elaine and get it signed.
  • 12 of 12: Offer it to Carla and Otis again and they'll join your crew.
