The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints

Execute Severa Magia

  • 1 of 7: Hlaalu's last special duty is to kill the local leader of the Dark Brotherhood, Severa Magia.
  • 2 of 7: She's an extremely powerful spellcaster who's holed up in the Ald Sotha Shrine at location 10 on the Vivec map.
  • 3 of 7: On Ald Sotha's upper level, you won't find much other than doors to the lower level. (Note, though, that Llathise Dralas has a great ebony shield.)
  • 4 of 7: Severa Magia is on the lower level. After you kill her, be sure to take her Daedric Tanto and Daedric Darts as well as the Amulet of Sanguine Nimble Armor, the Gloves of Sanguine Swiftblade, and the Ring of Sanguine Fluid Evasion. Need I say that all the Sanguine items are needed for the Webspinner quest?
  • 5 of 7: Don't stop with Magia. Continue on to the Shrine area and kill Llandrale Varam to get the Ring of Sanguine Red Wisdom, the Ring of Sanguine Transcendence, and the Ring of Sanguine Transfiguring. More Webspinner artifacts!
  • 6 of 7: Return to Hlaalu to get a really great dagger called the Black Hands Dagger. It's an enchanted Daedric dagger that absorbs health and causes blindness every time it strikes. The health-absorbing effect lasts 30 seconds, so you could slash an enemy with the dagger and then run to avoid being hurt while he steadily loses health and you *gain* health! Most enemies will go down from one good slash of this terrific weapon.
  • 7 of 7: Since this is Hlaalu's last quest, be sure to do all the writ quests if you haven't already, and then do the "Grandmaster" quest.
