The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Hints
The Vampire Hunter
of 9: Aundae's next quest is to go to Ald'ruhn and kill a vampire hunter.
of 9: She doesn't know the guy's name, but you can get it by asking around about "vampire hunter" in the Ald'ruhn Mages Guild.
of 9: The man is Ano Vando, and he's now walking around outside near the Mages Guild building.
of 9: Remember that you're supposed to kill Vando when it's light and someone is watching.
of 9: Make sure it's no more than a couple of hours before or after noon, and that someone else is wandering around within sight. (Don't approach Vando unless these conditions are met, because he'll attack you on sight.)
of 9: If you do it right, you'll get a journal entry about it.
of 9: Be sure to get Vando's Light of Day mace and Darksun shield, but don't try to equip them until after you're cured of vampirism.
of 9: Return to Aundae and talk about "vampire hunter" to get an amulet that you can use to zap back to Ashmelech from anywhere. (Just equip the amulet to do this.)
of 9: NOTE: The Light of Day mace is a severely screwy weapon, and this can be used to your advantage after you stop being a vampire.
