Gothren-Fighting Tips
  • 1 of 4: He's a very powerful spellcaster and has two Dremora guards in his room.
  • 2 of 4: It's going to be a tough battle even for advanced characters, so be sure to save your game and cast some protective and attribute-fortifying spells first.
  • 3 of 4: If you have the Black Hands Dagger from finishing Eno Hlaalu's special duties for the Morag Tong faction, you can quickly slash Gothren with it once and then run.
  • 4 of 4: Don't exit the Upper Tower before he dies or he'll be magically healed. Run down the stairs and into the bedroom on the bottom floor so you at least won't have to fight Gothren and the two Dremora all at once (and hopefully not Gothren at all).
