Loot the Mages Guild
  • 1 of 8: Aengoth can be found in the Rat in the Pot club in Ald'ruhn City.
  • 2 of 8: This first quest has you looting the local Mages Guild for goodies, including a particular blade that Aengoth badly wants for some reason.
  • 3 of 8: As soon as this quest is put on you, the Mages Guild will become deserted except for one guard near the entrance who will assume you're a thief and attack you the moment you enter.
  • 4 of 8: You can either enter with a Chameleon or Invisibility spell in effect, or just charge him with your favorite melee weapon. (Don't worry -- if you're a member of the Mages Guild, you won't be expelled for killing this guy.)
  • 5 of 8: Once he's down, you've got the place to yourself. Go through it and loot it thoroughly.
  • 6 of 8: The special tanto that Aengoth wants is in a locked chest on the top shelf of Anareren's little alchemy shop alcove.
  • 7 of 8: If you don't know how to unlock the chest, see my Advanced Lock-Opening Tips. If you still can't unlock it, you'll have to wait to complete this quest until you can.
  • 8 of 8: Once you have the special tanto and have finished going over the building, return to Aengoth to finish the quest (and return the Mages Guild to normal).
