Agatha Christie: Murder on the Orient Express Hints
How do I collect fingerprints from things?
of 14: You've watched CSI or similar on TV; how do they do it?
of 14: They have fine black or white powder in a device that puffs the powder onto the area; once the fingerprint shows up, they collect it with a piece of adhesive tape. So we need powder, a puffer of some kind, and scotch tape.
of 14: You might be thinking of flour, but it's not ideal; it packs and is too hard to see. Think of something black that's in good supply.
of 14: Say, we have a whole car full of coal, don't we? Maybe Tayyip, the engineer, could be talked into sparing a lump.
of 14: The turkey baster is in the drawer to the left of the refrigerator. Combine turkey baster and coal powder to get a fingerprint puffer.
of 14: Now all we need is some tape. Check the staff areas of the train for this item.
of 14: It's not in a logical place, so I'll just tell you that it's in the salon car, in the drawer behind the bar.
of 14: To collect a fingerprint from the environment (like a doorjamb), click to zoom in on the spot, then use the puffer on it. When the fingerprint shows up, use the tape on it to collect it.
of 14: To collect a fingerprint from an object in inventory, combine the object and the puffer, then combine the object and the tape.
