Myst IV: Revelation Hints
How do I set the seven-light panel to full?
1 of 7: Think of each position of the slider as part of an addition problem. For example, moving the slider to the right turns on four lights -- think of this as "add four".
2 of 7: Once you've converted each position of the slider to the appropriate portion of the math equation, it is easiest to work out the solution on paper.
3 of 7: The slider begins in the center position. Start by moving it to the far-right. This will turn on four lights.
4 of 7: Next, move the slider back to the center position. This will turn off two lights. There will now only be two lights on.
5 of 7: Move the slider back to the far right. This will turn on four lights. There should now be six lights on, and only two moves left.
6 of 7: Move the slider back to the center position. This will turn off two lights. There should now be four lights on, and one move left.
7 of 7: Move the slider to the far right again. Moving the slider to the right will add four lights. Since there is a total of only seven lights, all the lights will be on. This was the final possible move, so the full power will now be on -- and all the lights along the back of the panel will be on.
