of 16: When you first try the lever on the left side of the machine, nothing happens. Perhaps this indicates that there must be something else that needs to be done to enable that lever.
of 16: Look at the five vertical bones (the tubes at the top of the machine). Each of the bones can be raised or lowered a number of notches. As the bones are raised and lowered, various symbols are displayed on all bones but one.
of 16: The symbols must be a code that is required to enable the lever, and lower the bridge.
of 16: These symbols should look familiar. If they don't, then you may need to do more exploring before tackling this puzzle.
of 16: The symbols match those found on the middle of the totem poles scattered around the Age.
of 16: The pyramid drawing in the hunting post is made up of animal prints. It seems that this puzzle will require information about five local animals.
of 16: Since the puzzle has both -- totem pole symbols and information about animal prints -- it seems that you'll need to find a way to relate each totem pole to a specific animal (as found in the pyramid of footprints).
of 16: Once you know which track or print matches each animal -- and which totem pole symbol matches each animal -- all that's left is to place the animal prints in the same order as they appear on the pyramid chart.
of 16: Set each of the five bones so that the symbols are displayed in the correct order. When the five bones are set correctly, the lever on the left side of the machine will be enabled. Use the lever to position the bridge in place.
