Myst IV: Revelation Hints
Just tell me what to do with the cables!
1 of 4: The cables are each adjusted with a gear. The gear has nine possible positions on it. Keep in mind that there is not a "zero" position to the gear's position. The gears start at position number one. If you make a mistake, you can reset the gear to its starting position by using the small lever at the base of each gear.
2 of 4: The gear on the left (pentagon) should be set to the number found near the crystal located near the family of statues (4). To enter this into the gear, count the starting position as position one, then count from there, one notch at a time, until you reach number four.
3 of 4: The gear in the center (circle) should be set to the number found near the crystal seen through the viewer at the floating Palace (3). To enter this into the gear, count the starting position as position one, then count from there, one notch at a time, until you reach number three.
4 of 4: The gear on the right (hexagon) should be set to the number found near the crystal located near Sirrus' desk (7). To enter this into the gear, count the starting position as position one, then count from there, one notch at a time, until you reach number seven.
