Myst V: End of Ages Hints

What choice should I make?

  • 1 of 16: First, if you've been relying on the autosave feature of the game, now is *ABSOLUTELY* the one time you need to save your game manually using the menus.  You may want to see how different choices go, but once you've made a decision, the only way to try something else is to restore a saved game.
  • 2 of 16: You'll be transported back to K'veer automatically as soon as you finish your final age, so there isn't much in the way of figuring out *how* to make the choice, as much as it is *which* choice to make.
  • 3 of 16: Also, you'll obviously need to pick up the Tablet that you've finally earned.
  • 4 of 16: To review all the conversations and journals you've encountered thus far, Yeesha told you not to trust her with the Tablet, as did Esher.
  • 5 of 16: Esher also asked you to meet him in Myst with the Tablet.
  • 6 of 16: If you've read this far, you may have gathered there could be another option.
  • 7 of 16: Think about everything that you've heard about the Tablet.
  • 8 of 16: It controls the Bahro.
  • 9 of 16: Yeesha seems to feel sorry for the Bahro.
  • 10 of 16: Maybe they should be in control of their own fate.
  • 11 of 16: If only there were some way to leave the Tablet to them.
  • 12 of 16: The Tablet is basically just a slate of a different shape.
  • 13 of 16: And the Bahro would probably take it if you left it on the ground and walked away.
  • 14 of 16: To do that, just move your cursor down to the bottom of the screen, and you should see a drop cursor as you move it along the edges of the Tablet -- just like you did with the slate.  (Or if that doesn't work, try lifting the Tablet first and then clicking on the edges once you have a better view.)  Either way, click on that cursor and just walk away.
  • 15 of 16: You can do that anywhere in K'veer, as long as you do it in K'veer, and not Myst.
  • 16 of 16: Once you've done that, the final sequence and credits will roll, and it will be clear that you made the right choice this time.
