Myst V: End of Ages Hints
One of the Bahro took my slate while I was on top of the ladder.
1 of 4: Yes, they tend to do that if you leave a slate unattended.
2 of 4: But Esher said they also bring it back eventually.
3 of 4: To the main pedestal back in the cave where you first arrived.
4 of 4: Press the glowing slate-shaped symbol on the smaller pedestal on top of the ladder to return to the main pedestal, and then retrieve your slate from there. You can now go back through the hole in the floor and continue solving this puzzle.
