Myst V: End of Ages Hints
What if I can't reach the pedestal in the canal any more?
1 of 4: It's possible that, after reaching the pedestal here in the arena, you went back to the windmill and played with the controls there some more. In that case, you may have blocked the gate in the canal again, but could still get around by teleporting.
2 of 4: However, once you raise the pedestal, you've taken away your teleportation option.
3 of 4: You'll need to bring the pedestal back down by changing the settings on the 4 control panels here again. Any total under 45 will work -- most simply by covering all of the red circles.
4 of 4: Then, use the pedestal here to teleport back out of the arena, re-open the gate the way you did to first enter the arena, and continue with the puzzle.
