Nancy Drew 18: The Phantom of Venice Hints

How do I get around Venice?

  • 1 of 3: When you leave a building or area, you'll find yourself looking at the Venice map. The location where you are right now will flash (except for Ca' Rezzonica that's always on). You can go to any spot with a name, but you can only visit (that is, walk around and look at) the ones with an eye next to them.
  • 2 of 3: You can only click on spots that are directly connected to your current location. To get across the city, you'll need to click on one spot after another. For example, to get from Ca' Nascosta (where you start) to Piazza San Marco (where the ATM is), click on Rialto Market, then Campo Santa Maria Formosa, and then finally Piazza San Marco.
  • 3 of 3: There are three modes of travel: by foot (the black lines), by vaporetto, a sort of water bus (the red lines), and by gondola (the blue lines). The only real difference in these is that if you go by gondola, you have to choose whether you want to pay for music or ride in cheap silence.
