How do I solve the dollhouse?

• 1 of 8: You'll be solving the dollhouse at least three different times, and maybe four, throughout the game. Read to the end of this hint for specific solutions for each of the puzzles.
• 2 of 8: The general aim here is to put the dolls on the different pegs on the house so that they follow the rules given in the drawing at the left.
• 3 of 8: A red line means that those dolls are placed exactly like that. So in the first puzzle, for example, the pig is going to be in the slot just to the right of the rocking horse.
• 4 of 8: A blue line means the two dolls will be on the same row or column, but not necessarily right next to each other. So in the first puzzle, for example, the cat is in the middle row somewhere to the left of the rocking horse.
• 5 of 8: A blue arrow means that the one doll will be somewhere in the direction indicated from the other doll, but it won't necessarily be in a straight line. So in the second puzzle, the blue dog is to the left of the cat, but it could be in any row.
• 6 of 8: As a general strategy, place the redline dolls first if you can, then look for relations between those dolls and the others. You can also draw conclusions about some of the relations. For example, if the puzzle says four dolls are all on the same row, you know it's not the top row, because it only has two spaces.
• 7 of 8: Once you think you've got the dolls placed so they meet all the rules on the sheet, press the red "Check" button at the top of the dollhouse. If you got them right, something will happen; if not, the button clicks and nothing else. Sigh heavily and check the rules again.
