Which one should I choose?
1 of 3: There are a couple of things you'll be looking for specifically: a large wooden pulley, a rainbow-colored dial, a compass, a coin. However, you won't see these items until Nancy has learned she needs them.
2 of 3: You'll always see a guava as one of the choices. Guavas can be given to Coucou at a treat, so they're always useful.
3 of 3: The other stuff is just fun junk -- a stapler, an eyepatch, a Koko Kringle wrapper, and so on. There's a star waiting for you at the end of the game if you get them all. Check out the wicker basket in Nancy's inventory if you want to see everything you've won.
