Nancy Drew: Ransom of the Seven Ships Hints
How do I climb this cliff face?
1 of 5: Walk forward from your cart to the cliff wall and you will immediately start rock climbing. (Nancy's pretty brave, or perhaps just foolhardy, to go climbing without a harness or ropes or even a spotter. It must be nice to be fictional.)
2 of 5: Hold and point your mouse in the direction you want Nancy to climb and she'll start moving up.
3 of 5: The big problem here is the rocks being flung at your head by the hostile monkeys as you climb. Do your best to dodge them, by moving to one side or stopping; if you get hit, you take an injury and also get knocked down quite a ways. You can heal yourself by going into one of the caves you see; that resets your health meter to full so you can keep going. If your health meter gets to zero you're dead, so, you know, try not to die.
4 of 5: You'll also find that some surfaces aren't climbable. You can't climb on the vines, and you can't climb across the big black cave mouths. If you want to get beyond them, you'll need to maneuver around the obstacles.
5 of 5: But you don't really have to climb to the top of the cliff until you've translated all of El Toro's journal. Until then, you're just climbing for the practice anyway.
