Nancy Drew 21: Warnings at Waverly Academy Hints
What do I do with the cornerstone?
1 of 8: If you go outside and turn right to walk alongside the building, you'll come across the building's cornerstone, that big block at the corner of the building with all the writing on it. Once you get access to the Special Collections book in the library --
2 of 8: -- you'll find a photo of that same cornerstone. But it doesn't look quite the same.
3 of 8: The design in the center of the stone is a plain square in the photo, but in real life it's got a small diamond shape in the center of the square. And in this photo, Rita Hallowell seems to be pointing at it. Hmm.
4 of 8: Go back outside and look closely at the cornerstone to find that you can move the pieces of the design around. What you want to do here is rearrange the pieces so they look like they do the photo -- a solid square with no extra pieces. Read to the end of this hint for a screenshot showing the completed design.
5 of 8: Left click on a piece to pick it up, then right click and drag to rotate it.
6 of 8: It's kind of hard to tell, but each piece has more than one right angle (that is, a square corner that can fit into the corner of the depression in the stone).
7 of 8: Turn each piece so its longest edge is along the outside edge of the square. That should make them all fit very nicely.
