Nancy Drew 21: Warnings at Waverly Academy Hints
Help, I'm trapped!
of 12: After you force the furnace to reveal its secrets --
of 12: -- it reveals a short tunnel. Go in to discover Rita's secret and the real Black Cat. After a short conversation, the other person leaves; walk up to the stone table she was standing at, and things get a little more ... literary. (You've heard of Poe's story, "The Pit and the Pendulum," haven't you?)
of 12: It isn't too hard to figure out what's going on here. That great heavy axe swinging from the ceiling is razor sharp, and it's slowly dropping as it swings. If you can't figure out how to stop it, you'll be lunch meat.
of 12: The wheels and stuff in front of you are the keys to getting out of here. Read to the end of this hint for details on how manipulate them and survive the trap.

of 12: -- but don't take all day, because after four or five tries the pendulum will get too close for comfort, and it's time for Second Chance.
of 12: If you had endless time, I suppose you could map out exactly how each wheel should go to match the center wheel. But the center wheel turns, and the outer wheels rotate, and there are too many stones to keep track of. Trial and error really might be your best bet here; after all, there are only four wheels.
of 12: But if you're sick to death of it, here's the way you need to click on the wheels:
of 12: First click on the lower right wheel, then the upper left wheel, then the upper right, then the lower left. That is, like this:
